We love an excuse to bring the HIVE coworking community together for morning tea or lunch. This week was Bastille Day and owners Rob and Jenny (pictured left) arrived on-site with three trays of freshly baked croissants, french cheese, local fruit pastes and french raspberry jam for morning tea.
Note the plastic dust screens behind (right) covering the Stage 2 fit-out which is nearing completion, with the walls being gib-stopped and sanded during the week, and painting starting on Monday 19th July.
Hastings builders MCL have worked hard to minimise interruptions to the customers and schedule noisy works outside normal hours, whist our six new small-format serviced offices are being created. Mark Jackson from Creatipix, an i-desk customer who works long hours at the HIVE, told your editor, "the subbies have done a great job minimising the noise and dust so we really haven't been impacted by the works, which has been very much appreciated and commented on by many of the users here in the HIVE." Good job team!

These additional offices are on target to be ready in the first week of August, which is great timing since, come Monday 19th July, all our Stage One offices will be occupied and half of the coworking desks will also be spoken for, including two of the new electric (sit/stand) premium i-desks.
